Mary Jane,
I was just catching up on Madison news and discovered Al's obituary.  I am so sorry for your loss - he was a good guy.  It's been a long time since our years together in Flandreau.  My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.  Hope to see you in September in Madison.

Mary Jane and Family. Sorry to hear of the passing of Al. Nothing but good memories during our time together at DSU. Al was the best there was at developing young players. Touched many lives in his coaching career. Thinking of your family during this time. Lee and Maxine Moran

We offer our sympathy.
As a coach, Al touched the lives of countless young people.
He and Max were teammates at NSU  --  more good stories and memories.

We remember Al as a great football coach when we were freshman and sophomores at Flandreau High school. He was one of the best coaches we had. It was a joy to play for him.
I know he will be remembered by many as he touched a lot of lives.
