We lived 1 mile north of Virgil and Marlene and were happy to know them. Attended church with them and was also a friend of Marlene's. I had coffee with her, had gone on some walks with her, and spoke to her frequently. She was very pleasant to be around and I think of her often even though we moved away from Madison in August. She spoke of her family often to me and she will be missed.

I am so sorry to hear of your mom's passing. I have missed her so much since she moved to Sioux Falls. We used to eat a meal w/her in Madison. Little did we know that she had a brother named Herb & that she was from Delmont. Herb was one of our army friends back in the 50's in Washington State. We would like to have his address to reconnect w/him. Teresa, do you have it? Please accept our most sincere sympathy & prayers at this very difficult time of your mom's passing. She was a fantastic lady.

Lisa and Teresa, Aunt Marlene was one of the kindest most loving person on earth! We’re going to miss her deeply, but remember her for her wittiness, love of dancing and most of all the love she shared with everyone she knew! God bless my Aunt Marlene and all of her loved ones. Your niece, Brenda (Troy)

I enjoyed working with Marlene when she worked on the election board of her precinct for me when I was Miner County Auditor. Later, my daughter Rhonda worked under her with DSU's work study program while she attended college. A great lady!
