Matthew P. Moore

Matthew P. Moore, age 39, of Mitchell, SD formerly of Madison, died unexpectedly from natural causes Tuesday, October 17, 2017, at his residence in Mitchell. Memorial services will be 1:00 PM, Wednesday, October 25, 2017, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Madison. Visitation will begin at noon Tuesday with the family present from 5-7 PM with a prayer service at 7 PM. Inurnment will be at Graceland Cemetery.

Matthew Paul Moore was born to Shirley (Hockett) and John Moore on November 14th, 1977 in Sioux Falls, SD.  He attended Garfield Elementary, Madison Junior High School and Madison High School (MHS), graduating in 1996.  He attended South Dakota State University and earned a Computer Assisted Design (CAD) Engineering degree from Southeast Technical Institute in Sioux Falls.  Matt was a fierce athletic competitor on the basketball court and as a member of numerous champion cross country and track teams at MHS.  Matt had a passion for life that he enjoyed sharing with his friends, co-workers, family, and especially his children. 

Matt was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Madison. He enjoyed fishing, golfing, cooking, storytelling and entertaining loved ones.  He is survived by many family members, whom he loved deeply: daughter Nadine, son Everett, daughter Drew, daughter Greenlee, son Bodhi, son Colter, mother Shirley, brother Nate (Danella) Moore, and their children, Avery, Carter, Flynn; as well as several aunts, uncles and cousins.

In Lieu Of Flowers, memorials may be directed to Matt’s family to establish an education fund for his children.
