Michael N. Lindholm, age, 72, of Wentworth, SD, passed away on Saturday, April 6, 2024, at Ava's House Hospice in Sioux Falls. Services will be 2:00 pm, Fri., April. 12, at St. Peters Lutheran Church in Wentworth. Burial will be at Rose Hill Cemetery at Wentworth. Visitation will be 5-7 pm, Thursday with a Prayer Service at 7:00 pm at the Ellsworth Funeral Home in Madison. The service will be livestreamed on the church Facebook page.
Michael Norman Lindholm was born August 6, 1951, to Kenneth and Hazel (Limmer) Lindholm. He grew up on a farm west of Wentworth. He went to school at Wentworth Elementary and graduated from Chester High School in 1969. After graduation he moved to Rapid City, SD, working at Dakota Steel as a welder advancing to shop foreman. He married Connie Jorgensen on January 16, 1971.
They moved back to Wentworth in 1978, and he began working at Gehl. After Gehl he went back to farming with his dad and brothers. He loved dairy farming, ABS training and raising the calves that were born! When full time work on the farm had ended, he worked at Keith's South Side in Madison, a lawn mower repair in Egan, worked for the City of Wentworth and machine operator for area farmers. Mike enjoyed working with wood and was a skilled craftsmen. He made many toys and keepsakes for his children and grandchildren. He also enjoyed music, gardening, sporting events, and spending time with friends and family! He was a long time member of St. Peters Lutheran Church in Wentworth SD. He was baptized August 16, 1951, and confirmed April 11, 1965.
Mike is survived by his children; Robin (Jerry) Lemme Dell Rapids, SD, Cheryl (Travis) Hubbell Madison, SD, Jonathan (Dijorgisa) Lindholm Haymarket, VA, Christopher (Lily) Lindholm Madison, SD, Monica (James) Turner Alexandria MN, Logan (Jennifer Kenaston) Dahl Tea, SD and Lance Dahl, 23 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren, siblings; Ted (Carolyn), Dan (Bonnie) Linda (Jimmy) Krsnak, Pat (Kim), Loren (Amy), Teresa (Todd) Garry, Uncle Leroy Lindholm, Uncle Ted and Aunt Ruth (Limmer) Aufdemberge, many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He is preceded in death by his parents, infant brother Jonah, and Connie Lindholm. Memorials may be directed to the American Heart Association.
