Allen R. Coonradt

Allen Ray Coonradt, 76, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 14, 2017 at the Sanford Hospital in Sioux Falls SD.

He leaves behind his sister, Mary Leitzke and her husband Lee Leitzke; his two foster sons- Josh Beckley (wife Vivian) and Matt Harris; sister-in-laws; Olive Coonradt/Mary Coonradt; numerous nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, cousins and close friends.

Allen was born in Madison, South Dakota, the son of George and Inga Coonradt, who preceded him in death along with his brothers, Burt Coonradt and Lyle Coonradt.

In his early years he enjoyed selling corn and fireworks to earn extra money. He graduated from High School in Sioux Falls and went to college in Jamestown, North Dakota He went on to open his own insurance business working as a storm adjuster for many years.

Allen was a person with the biggest heart ever, he would go out of his way to ensure others happiness. When he laughed you knew it! He had an infectious laugh that will be remembered by all who really "heard it". He was a selfless man. Great man of faith in God.

Graveside services will be 11:00 AM, Saturday, October 14, 2017, at Graceland Cemetery in Madison.
