Dennis Hilde

Dennis R. Hilde, age 80, of Madison, died Sat., March 4, 4017, at Madison Care & Rehab.

Funeral Services will be 2:00 PM Friday, March 10th, at Trinity Lutheran Church with burial at Graceland Cemetery.  The family will be present for visitation 5-7 PM Thursday at Ellsworth Funeral Home.

Dennis was born May 10, 1936, at Madison, to Luther and Maxine (Johnson) Hilde.  He was raised on the family farm and graduated from Beadle High School in 1955.  Dennis married Linda Anderson on December 10, 1961, at Madison.

Dennis served in the SD Army National Guard from 1957 -1962. He operated a family business, Hilde Pipe and Gravel for over 50 years.  He and his wife were also involved in developing the neighborhoods of Best Point and Woodland Marina on the south shore of Lake Madison.  Dennis served on the Lake Madison Sanitary District Board of Directors for many years.

Dennis was preceded in death by his parents and an infant daughter Maren.

Survivors include his wife Linda of Madison; one daughter, Denise (Tom) Lewis of Madison; one son Chad (Valorie) Hilde of San Bernardino, CA; four granddaughters; two sisters, DeAnn Molskness of Madison and Gloria (Gerald) Doering of Franklin, NC; and two sisters-in-law, Sonya Anderson and Karen Anderson, both of Madison.

Family requests memorials be directed to Asera Hospice.
