Marlene J. Oldre, age 74, of Madison, died Friday, April 27, 2018, at Madison Regional Health System. Memorial services will be 11:00 AM, Wednesday, May 9, 2018, at the Ellsworth Funeral Home in Madison. Visitation will be 5-7 PM, Tuesday, May 8, 2018, at the Ellsworth Funeral Home and one hour prior to services on Wednesday. Inurnment will be held at Graceland Cemetery in Madison.
Marlene Jean Mosser was born September 16, 1943, at Bismark, ND to George and Ida (Fuehrer) Mosser. She graduated from Faulkton High School in 1961 before attending Stewart’s School of Hairstyling where she graduated in 1963. Marlene married Paul Oldre on February 8, 1964 in Sioux Falls.
Marlene was a business owner/operator for over 40+ years in downtown Madison and then continued at her home after that, even serving a special client for 50 years. She was a faith and family person who loved visiting with friends.
Survivors include two daughters, Paula (Curtis) Wagner of Chamberlain, Pam (Charlie) Tsatsos of Bloomington, MN; one son, Sean Oldre of Madison; six grandchildren, Whitney (Bryce) Kreitzfeldt, Kennedy Wagner, Jessica & Jennifer Jacobsen, Joshua & Jacob Oldre; two great-grandchildren, Cooper and Sophia; one brother Rodney Mosser of Madison; and many nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death are her parents; two sisters, Nora Koska and Arlene Boulais; one grandson, Brett Jacobsen; and one brother-in-law, Lawrence Koska.
