Bruce E. Dudley

Bruce E. Dudlay, age 65, of Chester, formerly of Huron, died Sunday, May 8, 2022, at his residence. Per his request, no services will be held.

Bruce Edward Dudley was born on August 4, 1956, in Huron, to Jack and Shirley (Heath) Dudley. He graduated from Huron High School in 1974. He spent most of his life working in construction or long distance trucking. Many trips to Texas and the West coast made for lots of stories and laughter.

His family always teased him that he was born 200 years too late. He was born to be a mountain man with his long gun, trusty dogs hunting, and fishing to live his best life. However, then he would've missed out on his passionate love affair with Harley's and Mopars. He loved to drive fast.

Bruce is survived by one daughter Tonya; two sons, Erik and Keith; his furchildren, Monte and Mel; grandchildren; siblings, Val (Dennis) Langbehn and Craig Dudley; his mother Shirley; nephews, Jack (Megan) Langbehn, Adam (Sami) Langbehn, and Andrew (Kristen) Langbehn; four great-nieces and one great-nephew; special cousin Susie (John) Dold and her family; and many other loved cousins and family.

He was preceded in death by his beloved father Jack; grandparents, Carrie Dudley and Arley and Vivian Heath.

Bruce always told his sister Val that if you want to celebrate his life, have them lift up their favorite beverage and recite this Irish blessing. "May you be in heaven two hours before the devil knows you're dead."
