Dear Friends,
You are invited to attend our 31st Annual Community Holiday Memorial Service at the Ellsworth Funeral Home on Sunday, December 9th, at 1:30 PM. This is a special service to share with others who have lost a family member. Rev. Barry Whipkey, of Madison United Methodist Church, will deliver this year's message. Special music will be provided by Robert Ellsworth.
Please bring with you a few short sentences or phrases about your loved one that we will read during the service. These can be about things he or she liked to do, special talents or their personality. We have found these "memorial moments" to be an especially meaningful part of the candlelight service.
Each family that attends will receive a Memorial Candle or Comfort Cross from Holy Land Stone Co. in memory of your loved one. The stone cross was quarried from the hills of Jerusalem where Jesus dwelt.
We have updated Holiday Grief Brochures available and our program will include suggestions for coping with holiday grief. In addition, more helpful information can be found at www.centerforloss.com or give us a call at 256-2221.
My wife Brooke and I, our associate Terry Lee of Willoughby Funeral Home in Howard, and our family service counselor Sue Janssen, wish you a Blessed Christmas season. Refreshments and homemade treats will be served following the service. Please let us know how many of your family members are planning to attend so that we may plan accordingly.
We hope to see you on December 9th.
Alex and Brooke Nurnberg
