Joyce Raastad

Joyce Raastad, age 80, of Madison, died Monday, November 16, 2020, in Littleton, CO. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM, Saturday. November 28, 2020, at the Ellsworth Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Graceland Cemetery.

Joyce Elaine Mavis Raastad was born to John and Mae (Marsh) Christensen of Bryant, SD, on December 19, 1939. She attended school in Bryant, SD. After graduating, she married Arlie Raastad of Hazel, SD, in 1958. Together they had three daughters. 

Joyce enjoyed spending time with her husband and daughters. The family spent many summers on Lake Traverse at their cabin. Along with raising her 3 girls, she had many hobbies over the years. She sewed clothes for her daughters, grew beautiful flowers, collected antiques, and loved to find a bargain at an auction to sell at the Four Seasons Flea Market in downtown Madison.

She is survived by three daughters, Vickie (Albert) Sarcletti, Debra Wilde, and Pamela (Eric) Bjork; three grandchildren, Dylan Wilde, Taelor Wilde, and Aaron Sarcletti; one great-grandchild, Brodie; and one sister, Joyzella, and one brother, Eugene.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband Arlie in 2019.
