Nylan J. Stewart

Nylan Stewart, age 86, of Madison, died Sunday, September 13, 2020, at Madison Regional Health. Graveside services for family and friends will be at 1:00 PM, Sunday, October 11, 2020, at Graceland Cemetery in Madison.

Nylan was born May 19,1934, at Flandreau SD. to Earl and Hazel (Petersen) Stewart. He attended Rutland High School. After his father died in 1952, he moved with his mother to Madison SD. in 1959. He was a hardworking ranch hand at various places throughout South Dakota.

His favorite hobbies include fishing, reading, watching the birds and most of all gardening.

He is survived by two nieces and two nephews and very special friend and buddy Gary (Rochelle) Johnson.

He is preceded in death by his parents; two sisters Barbara and Mildred Stewart and one brother Carryl Stewart.
