Rex D. Page, age 94, of Madison, SD, passed away peacefully in a hospital in Winter Haven, FL, on February 8, 2018.
The family will be present for visitation will be 5-7 PM, Friday, May 18, 2018, at Grace Episcopal Church, Madison. Memorial Services will be 10:30 AM, Saturday, May 19, 2018, at Grace Episcopal Church with inurnment at Graceland Cemetery, Madison. Military Honors by Madison American Legion and VFW.
Rex D. Page was born October 14, 1923 in Chester, SD, to Ray and Martha (Krumm) Page. He graduated from Chester High School in 1941. In 1948, he earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from South Dakota State University in Brookings, SD. Rex served in the US Army during World War II and the Korean War. He worked as a civil engineer in Spencer, IA and at East River Electric in Madison, SD.
Rex was an avid Twins, Vikings, and Jackrabbits fan, attending many games with family and friends. He was a member of Grace Episcopal Church, the Masons, and Madison Golf & Country Club. Rex married Marilynn Sprague on June 5, 1951 at Camp Carson, CO.
Rex was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Marilynn; and his two sons, Timothy and Charles.
Survivors include three sons, Jeffrey Page of Columbus, NE, Lt. Col. John Page of Pineville, LA, and Scott (Chriss) Page of Mankato, MN; one daughter, Jill (David) Harbison of Winter Haven; one daughter-in-law, Lynette Page, of Watertown, SD; 12 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
