Shirley Walker

Shirley Walker, age 81, of Madison, died Tuesday, October 25, 2022, at Bethel Lutheran Home in Madison. Funeral services will be 10:30 AM, Saturday, October 29, 2022, at Ellsworth Funeral Home in Madison. Burial will follow at Graceland Cemetery in Madison. Visitation will be one hour prior to services.

Shirley Ovre was born on March 19, 1941, to Clarence and Alma Ovre in Canton. Shirley married Albert Walker on December 4, 1960, in Lennox.

Shirley was an avid reader, crocheter, writer, piano player and evangelist who would talk about Jesus with anyone who would listen and with those who wouldn't.

Survivors include her children, Frank (Lori) Walker of Brandon, Jonathan (Maricela) Walker of Lake Forest, CA, Cindy (Kevin) Schut of Madison, Donna (Sean) McLaughlin of Ramona, CA, and Timothy Walker of Madison; 12 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Helen Rippentrop (Russell Peters).

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one son, Leroy Walker; and one sister and one brother.
