Tena E. Boellaard

Tena Estelle Boellaard, age 85, passed away peacefully Saturday, September 18, 2021, at the Prairie Lakes Hospital in Watertown. No services will be held. Tena will be laid to rest with her mother in their family plot at the Ramona City Cemetery.

Tena may have only stood 5' but her personality was so much bigger. Tena loved all things beautiful such as flowers, outdoor walks, coloring, and anything soft such as her fuzzy socks. One of her favorite pastimes was sitting outside in her yard  for hours. She was the first one to get up from the living room when any meal was announced. Afterwards, she helped her house mates with clearing the table. She was happy to be surrounded each day by her New Horizon's family and friends who where in her home. Her roommate is known as a bit of a "hard head", but that never phased Tena. She had a true friendship with her roommate and they shared a special good bye the day before she passed in her hospital room. Tena's sweet, little laugh and kind presence will be missed in her group home for a long time to come.

To all the wonderful people who cared for her in her home until the end, thank you for making her life the best it could be. I know she was grateful to have each of you in her life.
